About
Dr. Carmen Lorente Méndez is a distinguished veterinarian and a European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology (EBVS). She earned her veterinary degree in 1988 and her PhD in 2005 from the Complutense University of Madrid. As a founding diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD), she has dedicated her career to advancing the field through clinical practice, research, and education. She is widely recognized for her expertise in dermatopathology and diagnostic protocols for skin disorders in small animals. Throughout her career, Dr. Lorente has held significant academic and clinical leadership roles, including serving as a professor at CEU Cardenal Herrera University and leading dermatology services at various veterinary teaching hospitals. In 2007, she founded Adervet, a specialized veterinary dermatology center in Madrid, which she continues to direct. Additionally, she serves as an international consultant in dermatology and allergology for Laboklin and has contributed extensively to veterinary literature, including her book 'Looking for Success in Dermatology Consultations'.
