About
Claudio Bussadori is a distinguished veterinary cardiologist and human physician who holds both a DVM (1982) and an MD (2001). He is a Founding Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) and has earned a PhD in cardiovascular pathophysiology. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Clinica Veterinaria Gran Sasso in Milan, Italy, where he also directs an ECVIM residency program in cardiology. His academic career includes serving as an adjunct professor at various Italian universities and as a researcher at the Pediatric Cardiology Department of San Donato Hospital in Milan. Throughout his career, Dr. Bussadori has held significant leadership roles, including President of the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology (ESVC) and Vice President of the ECVIM. He is an honorary member of the ESVC and has received the Italian National Scientific Qualification to serve as a full professor in veterinary internal medicine and pharmacology. He is widely recognized for his expertise in congenital heart diseases, echocardiography, and the application of advanced imaging technologies in both human and veterinary medicine.
