Guadalupe Miró Corrales is a distinguished veterinarian and academic, currently serving as a Full Professor of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases at the Department of Animal Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She earned both her veterinary degree and PhD from the same institution. As a Diplomate of the European Veterinary Parasitology College (EVPC), she has dedicated her career to the study and diagnosis of parasitic and infectious diseases in small animals, with a particular focus on vector-borne diseases, zoonoses, and shelter medicine. In addition to her academic role, she leads the Pet Parasite Lab at UCM and heads the Infectious Diseases Clinical Unit at the university's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She is a prolific author of scientific literature and educational atlases for veterinary professionals. A prominent figure in the international veterinary community, she is a founding member and former President of LeishVet and has served as a key representative for ESCCAP Spain.
