About
Joaquim Segalés i Coma is a distinguished veterinarian and researcher specializing in swine health and pathology. He earned his DVM in 1991 and his PhD in 1996 from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), where he has served as a faculty member since 1996. His academic career includes significant international experience, notably a 15-month research tenure at the University of Minnesota. He is a board-certified specialist, holding diplomate status with both the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) and the European College of Porcine Health Management (ECPHM), the latter of which he helped found.
