José Rodríguez Gómez is a distinguished veterinarian and academic, currently serving as a Professor of Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Zaragoza in Spain. He earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1982 and his PhD in 1986, both from the Complutense University of Madrid. Throughout his career, he has maintained a strong focus on small animal surgery, particularly in the fields of soft tissue surgery and minimally invasive techniques. He has been a dedicated surgeon at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Zaragoza for over three decades and served as the hospital's director from 2003 to 2008. Beyond his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Rodríguez is a prolific author and coordinator of the "Cirugía en la clínica de pequeños animales" (Small Animal Surgery) collection. His work is widely recognized for its practical, visual approach, utilizing step-by-step guides, diagrams, and video resources to assist both students and veterinary professionals.
