Yvonne Espada Gerlach is a distinguished veterinary professional specializing in diagnostic imaging. She graduated from the Universidad de Zaragoza in 1984 and has since dedicated her career to advancing the field of veterinary radiology and ultrasound. Her extensive training includes clinical experience in diagnostic imaging services across Europe and the United States, including institutions in Paris, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Virginia Tech University. Since 1991, she has served as a lecturer in the Animal Medicine and Surgery Department at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where she has played a pivotal role in academic and clinical instruction. In 1992, she joined the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Fundació Hospital Clínic Veterinari at the same university, where she has served as the Head of the service for many years. She is a recognized expert in feline ultrasound and a co-author of the professional reference book Diagnostic Ultrasound in Cats.
